Video is adam powell and that he tried to ambush two Police Officers inside a starbucks sunday night. Fortunately his gun malfunctioned and officers were able to chase him down. Officers think the attempt was premeditated. He was wearing body armor. The soul weapon was affixed with a barrel magazine. Reporter hours earlier his own son was shot inside this city house. All i hear is a lot of Police Coming down. Reporter the shooting was accidental but its hard to ignore what powell did after it happened. Several persons present inside the residence at the time of the shooting. Person of interest who was present at the time of the shooting but left prior to officers arrival was identified. Reporter that person of interest is powell. Neighbors have seen to have family here and there and have noticed the boy shot looking at them from a window. Me and my friend always right around. Speaker the april 3, 16 report, item number 6 under discipline, the officer was suspended for how many days . One day. One day. Is that consistent with similar instances . Commissioner turman, the occ does not have access to all of the discipline thats imposed by the Police Department. I cannot speak to whether or not it is consistent. What were receiving now and had not been receiving in the past is information from internal Affairs Division of whether or not an officer has passed discipline, and in that way, and looks in the discipline schedule, i can recommend an elevated level of discipline, and so whether this is consistent with past discipline imposed, i think a question that the chief could answer through looking at internal affairs records.
