Dry weather is expected over northwestern parts of the country for the next few days. Moreover, until April 15, we can expect the maximum temperature to witness a rise again and will be above normal in many places.
Intensity of Western disturbances has reduced once again. Thus, the cyclonic circulation will also not develop over North India. The weather is expected to go dry and temperatures will start increasing. This scenario will be beneficial to farming community as crops are ready for harvesting.
Next one week is going to be lean weather period for plains of North India. Day temperatures are below the normal over the entire region, in mid 30's over Rajasthan and low 30's over Punjab, Haryana, Delhi and West Uttar Pradesh.
Pathankot, Amritsar, Tarn Taran, Fazilka, Ferozepur, Jalandhar, Hoshiarpur, Ropar, Ludhiana, Moga, Nakodar, Ambala, Karnal and Chandigarh are expected to face the brunt of powerful stormy conditions during evening and night, today.
Weather will start clearing up today on March 21st. However, isolated afternoon thunderstorm and passing rain cannot be ruled out over parts of Punjab, Haryana, Delhi, and Uttar Pradesh. Another wet spell is anticipated between night of March 23 and March 25th over North India.
