North Konkan and Goa and not Madhya Maharashtra including Mumbai will receive heavy to very heavy rain between September 12 and 15. Mumbai may witness deluge doing this period. Many areas of Mumbai and suburbs as well as North Madhya Maharashtra may witness 3-digit rainfall leading to widespread waterlogging and flash floods.
Maharashtra weather update: Several villages in Maharashtra have been put on alert, as several rivers including Kundalika have crossed the danger mark.
Monsoon Update: After a dry spell in June, heavy rainfall in most parts of Maharashtra in July has more than doubled the collective water stock in dams across the state within a span of a fortnight.
Low pressure area marked over Coastal Odisha, now lies over interior parts of the state and South Chhattisgarh. The convergence zone of the system extends right up to Marathwada and Madhya Maharashtra.
