We expect light rain activities to continue over parts of South Madhya Maharashtra and Marathwada during next four to five days. These rain activities will not be heavy but will continue in parts of these districts. These pre monsoon rains will be mostly during late afternoon or evening hours.
Heat wave conditions may make a comeback over many parts of the country in next 48 hours. We do not expect any significant pre-monsoon activities during next one week therefore the short relief from hot weather conditions is over now.
This year, many parts of the country have been witnessing intense heat wave. Average maximum temperatures of the country were 33.1 degree during March 2022, which is highest since 1901. First few days of April seem to be hottest since last many years.
Weather of Northwest India will clear up again and temperatures are going to increase over most parts of Northwest and northern plains. Heat wave will make a comeback over most parts of Rajasthan, parts of Gujarat, Madhya Pradesh and Maharashtra. Isolated pockets of these States may witness severe heat wave.

This hat-trick of maximums has been seen in Akola with the city recording 44.2° celsius yesterday, which is .1° more than what was observed the day before.
