whatever it takes. this is a desperate attempt for them to leave wherever they are or get to wherever they are going in europe. only a fraction of the airports on the continent are operating any flights because of that ash from that volcano in iceland. but british airways says test flights prove current restrictions on air travel, but these restrictions aren t necessary. so it is calling for new government policies that would get planes back in the air. the airline industry says it lost at least a billion dollars. a billion dollars over the last five days. and tens of thousands of american travelers are stuck in europe. and that s keeping families like the pattersons apart. parents jen and steve went to europe to spend just a few days visiting relatives. but they have now been separated from their small children back in virginia for two weeks. the grandmother and family friends have been taking care of the kids. they re keeping in touch with their parents using skype. our f
