Bobalu Berry Farms opens new sales office

Bobalu Berry Farms continues to celebrate 60 years in business with yet another milestone.  For the first time, the company has offices in the Watsonville/Salinas area. Like many companies, for the last couple of years the sales team has been working remotely with occasional time spent at headquarters in Oxnard due to the pandemic.  Now, as the country gets back to somewhat normal business, Bobalu Berries made the decision to establish a new sales office on the central coast.

California Giant Berry Farms, a leading producer of fresh, sustainable berries, announced its forecast for a strong winter strawberry crop, led by its Florida and Mexico growing regions. "The 2021-22 Florida strawberry started strong,” said James Tipton, district manager at California Giant Berry Farms. “Weather always plays a critical role in our crop’s success, but there looks to be a long forecast suggesting better temperatures than last year." She said Florida strawberries should peak in mid-February around Valentine’s Day.

Meanwhile, in South Africa, growers move towards year-round cultivation, increasing the supply but lowering prices.
