Due to the flood-like situation caused by the rising water level of the Yamuna River, Noida schools in the national capital have been closed. The closure applies to all boards and is due to the high water level and the possibility of more rain.
Four shelters have reportedly been built in Noida's Sectors 134, 135, and 136 to relocate the affected households from low-lying areas as a result of the rising Yamuna.
Traffic snarls and waterlogging were reported in several parts of the national capital on Monday as rain lashed the city making it difficult for the commuters to reach their destination on time.
Delhi Police advised the commuters to avoid all these stretches as India Meteorological Department (IMD) has predicts a generally cloudy sky with moderate rain and thundershowers.
