So we are going to warm up as we head through our day. So looking at those temperatures that are going to be above average for this time of year. Five to ten degrees above average. 72 in San Francisco. 79 in oakland and 89 in san jose. And upper 90s for concord. So four to 11
South bay due to triple digit heat. Dangerous heat friday into the weekend. And ill have detaiwthe bay bridge commute . Its already getting busy. If you are headed out the door and you plan on taking the bay bridge, check this out. Weve got a bit of a backup kind of earlier than usual this morning. Metering lights are on. An accident near the upper deck near Treasure Island. The lanes have been cleared now but look at that backup all that red on the sensors so its a slow ride working your way out of the east bay heading into the city. A back up all the way into the maze, westbound 580 and the eastshore freeway also slow. You have got brake lights as well as you work your way on the west grant exit over to the bay bridge. First of all, it is clear that we did not sustain and suffer the absolute catastrophic damage that we thought was likely based on the forecast we had last night but we have sustained a tremendous amount of damage and we have thousands and thousands of our fellow citizens whose lives are upside down because their businesses and or their homes have been damaged and we have lots of challenges around the state to say the least with a variety of things whether electrical power, Water Service or you name it and we have a lot of work to do but we are in better shape today than might have been the case and so we have a lot to be thankful for as well.
