Aslan Brewing. “To celebrate our lucky number seven, we’ll be hosting a small series of events down at the Aslan Depot over the weekend!” (Don’t worry, Seattle, they haven’t forgotten about you.)

The celebration kicks off today (Thursday, May 27) at the Aslan Depot in downtown Bellingham. In addition to offering a 20 percent discount on all in-house bottles, they’ll release some special bottles from the cellar.

Imagine a day when that silly image above is totally irrelevant. A day when we don’t have to worry about or talk about all of this mask stuff anymore. Lordy, I am so looking forward to that day.
“I do kind of wish it was still black and white,” one Seattle brewery owner told me this morning. “I’m glad we’re moving forward but I can see this being messy.”
He was talking about the announcement that Washington will fully adopt masking guidance recently issued by the CDC. That is, fully vaccinated individuals are no longer required to wear masks in most indoor and outdoor settings. Though individuals are not required to wear masks, a business is not forbidden from maintaining its own mask policy.
