You wouldn’t be able to guess it while watching the visually complex and highly detailed “WandaVision,” but the Marvel Studios series on Disney Plus was cinematographer Jess Hall’s first time working on a television series. The cinematographer credits his experience with shooting Cannes Gold Lion and Silver D&AD award-winning commercials and his long-form work on films such as “The Spectacular Now” and “Hot Fuzz” as making him versatile enough to incorporate multiple cinematic styles throughout the show.

Since Walt Disney Pictures Animation first debuted “Big Hero 6” in 2014, the movie’s intrepid inventor Hiro, his adorable robot companion Baymax, and their team of STEM-enhanced superheroes have been regular fixtures within the larger Disney pop-culture ecosystem.
Despite recent reports, however, Hiro, Baymax and the rest of the “Big Hero 6” crew are not currently set to make their live-action debut within the Marvel Cinematic Universe,
Variety has confirmed with a source at the studio.

It’s well established that any actor doing an interview about an upcoming project in the Marvel Cinematic Universe has to safely navigate a minefield of potential spoilers. Even so, when
Variety recently talked with Teyonah Parris about her role in Marvel’s ongoing Disney Plus series “WandaVision,” a seemingly innocuous question about director Nia DaCosta who was hired to direct the upcoming Marvel feature film “Captain Marvel 2” seemed to momentarily catch Parris off guard, as if she wasn’t sure whether she’d unwittingly stepped on another mine.
Captain Marvel 2 : Zawe Ashton to Face Off Against Brie Larson in Villain Role

Brie Larson’s Carol Danvers, a.k.a. Captain Marvel, may have met her onscreen match. Zawe Ashton has been cast in “Captain Marvel 2” and will go toe-to-toe with Larson as the sequel’s antagonist.
Nia DaCosta is directing the film, a follow-up to 2019’s blockbuster “Captain Marvel.” Megan McDonnell, a story editor on the Disney Plus series “WandaVision,” wrote the script.

It’s unclear who exactly Ashton is playing in the film, though sources say it will be the main villain. Along with Larson, the cast will include Iman Vellani, reprising her role as Ms. Marvel from the upcoming Disney Plus series of the same name, and Teyonah Parris as Monica Rambeau from “WandaVision.”
