An ezpass thats improperly mounted or the credit card connected to it is expired, that driver could run up tolls, fees and fines into the tens of thousands of dollars before he even knows he missed a toll. Today a Circuit Court judge questioned the constitutionality of that tolling system. Take a close look at this summons. The unpaid toll is only 1. 10. The civil penalty is 1,000, nearly 1,000 times the toll. The summons is one of 11 tony cooley received when her transponder was improperly mounted right after the 495 express lanes opened in 2012. To try and figure out what the man was doing. A Law Enforcement source says when an officer approached the man, he charged her with two large sticks. She opened fire and killed the man with her department issued service weapon. The shooting happened about 400 yards back into the tunnel here. The smell of urine still hangs in the station. 1 question has to be whether the man was simply looking for a place where no one could see him. Metro is declining at this point to release the officers name, but it says she is a 10 year veteran of the Metro Transit Police. Metro put her on paid administrative leave, standard procedure for shooting incidents. D. C. Police, internal affairs is handling the investigation, but its not releasing the name of the man shot yet nor how many shots were fired nor any early official explanation for why the officer fired.
