Were told this is the house he believed he could get rid of demons. Pastor Connery Dagadu served the beautiful feet ministry. He was routinely called upon to expel demons. Dagadu and minister alina held Prayer Service and cast away demons at the home on st. St. Johnsbury in german town. Roland zinneh reached out the to dagadu this week. He said he was hearings telling him to dance. So they came from pennsylvania with his fiancee and another woman. The two pastors tray preyed with him tuesday night. There were no problems until she awoke wednesday. E charged at me right in front of the house, so before he could get to me i closed the door. I said you calm down. And he didnt stop. And he was still coming to me. So i closed the door. When i closed the door he smashed the window. Reporter she says after that zinneh threatened to kill her, then she went down to the basement and found pastor dagadu. He had been strangled. Zinneh is charged with firstdegree murder. We are also learning some new details this evening about the moments just before that Deadly Police shoo inside that metro station. This unfolded in a tunnel at the potomac avenue station last night. Lets to right to news4s Mark Segraves whos drive at the scene with more details on this. Mark . Reporter late this afternoon metro put out a press release with a time line of what happened leading up to the moments when a female transit officer came facetoface with the suspect right before she shot and killed him. The victim is described only as an adult male. According to the metro press release, just before 9 00 last night, a train operator saw an unauthorized person in a tunnel just outside of the potomac avenue station. Minutes later Metro Transit Police arrived on the scene. Once power to the third rail was turned off, a team of Metro Transit Police officers entered the tunnel to search for the person. About ten minutes later one of the officers encountered the man about 400 feet from the potomac avenue station platform the officer fired several shots, hitting him multiple times and killing the man. Ipts not clear if the officer was alone when she first saw the suspect. It is also not clear why the man was many the tunnel. Police have not released his name. Now, despite repeated requests metro is refusing to answer any questions about this incident, for instance how my shots were fired and whether or not that officer was alone in the tunnel when she encountered the man. Omar gonzalez pled guilty in court today to two charges connected with the incident in september. Developing right now, some painful changes coming to Prince Georges Countys government. A new budget calls for furloughs, layoff and tax increases. Tracee wilkins was at that News Conference that just wrapped up with the details on this. Tracee . Reporter it is the most controversial Budget Proposal the kounl ti has seen in decades. But the county executive is saying t no more room to shift anything around, that the bill has to be paid and his numberone priority are schools. This fungd plan will enable us to do things we havent been able to do in quite some time. With that baker introduced a bold 3. 6 billion budget with money for Public Safety and schools but also filled with layoffs, furloughs, and tax increases. Even in these, you know, tough economic time were investing. Reporter the Prince Georges County school board req 1. 9 billion in funding and baker proposes completely funding them by giving 135. 7 million more than they got last year. There were years where we were reduced by hundreds of millions of there ares and so, you know, wht happens several successive years it takes a while to build that back up. Reporter the money to pay for that increase will come from increasing property taxes. The 15cent increase per 100 is expected to yield 104. 9 million for schools. So if you have a 200,000 home you will pay 300 more in taxes per year. There are also staff impacts with five furlough days proposed and 110 layoffs for county employees. The furloughs will also impact fire and police. But no one likes furloughs. The county executive puts it into perspective that everybodys investing and were investing back into the county i believe well get the support. Right now its just a proposal. And we keep that imi that theres stale lot of work to do to get to a final budget. Reporter baker says while investments in Public Safety were i his key focus is the School System and quickly funding improvements for county schools. But if we want to make the type of longterm sustained progress in prince georgesty that is going to attract businesses attract residents, weve got to have a firstrate School System. Reporter now, this is just a proposal. This budget now moves on to the county council and theyll have the final approval. There will be a series of meetings where folks can come and talk about this budget and ask questions and possibly protest some of the county executives proposals here. Anne arundel county Frederick County garrett counties have decided to slice one day from spring break. Its march 30th in anne arundel, april 1st in frederick, april 6th in garrett. State Officials Say three other districts have asked permission to do the same but they wont say which ones yet. We know Montgomery County schools are keeping spring break into account soer to reduce the school year by three days to offset the snow days. But theyve warned parents expect the school year to extend from june 12th to june 17th. Frederick county despite trimming spring break, will also extend its school year by two days through june 17th and the school year will b extended till 17th in Howard County too. Prince georges county schools say no decision there yet, but the Northern Virginia districts will keep their calendars intact. They didnt miss enough days there to require any makeups. In maryland this is the second year in a row School Districts have asked state leaders for permission to change their School Calendars and worth remembering the state rejected requests in 2014 to shorten the 108day school year pause of all the snow. A racist and sexist email from a student at the university of maryland has been unearthed and it is prompting a discussion on twitter about tolerance. Reporter that email has been around far while, but its already sparked a debate thats likely to last way past these the spring break here on this campus. The email message sent from a member of the Kappa Sigma Fraternity in january of last year sparked fresh debate here in college park today. In that email the student wrote racial slurs about africanamerican women and asian women and about sexually assaulting women. The email found its way to university offics week prompting a Quick Response from president wallace loh. The vulgar language in the email expresses views that are reprehensible to our campus unit. We immediately met with the individual involved and a University Investigation is under way. Wallace loh took to twitter for discussion with the campus community. Among the exchanges discussions of freedom of speech tweeting how freedom of speech is a core American Value but so is tolerance and equity. Another in the discussion responded does not tolerance also mean tolerating a view to which you strongly disagree . Its clear tt many on this campus disagree with the remarks in that email.
