Madison City Schools is preparing to open a new elementary school in the fall. But with that expansion comes new zoning that could result in school shuffling for families.
Midtown Elementary School – a 128,000 square foot facility located on Wall-Triana Highway – is set to open in time for the next school year. The $34 million building will replace West Madison Elementary School, built at its current location in 1953. West Madison, currently home to some 420 students grades K-5, will be repurposed as a new Pre-K building.
