Monster. I dont know how theyre going to feel when they see me for the first time. He has no way of knowing the anguish that ive felt for ten years. Because ive been wanting to Say Something for a long time, and this is something that needs to be done. I will know if hes if hes really remorseful or not. If hes not then we got problems. Ive spent half my life working with the criminal justice system. And ive seen lives devastated by violence. We like to imagine that after the verdict the story is over, the victim and the offender are never meant to meet again. But for some the only way to move forward is to come face to face with the person who shattered their lives. So im on my way to indianapolis, indiana. They used to call it the cross roads of america because they got so many interstates zipping through here. People are always coming, theyre always going to a place like this. Indianapolis attracts a lot of people from around the world, including a guy named Mario Gonzalez tello, a p
In common. Including how they deal with rule violations. In almost every episode of lockup, youll see an inmate go into segregation or solitary confinement. Its the most common method prisons and jails use for disciplining inmates. But its also one of the most controversial issues in all of corrections. Most jails and prisons require segregation inmates be confined to singleperson cells 23 hours per day along with other restrictions. Those could be suspension of privileges, phone calls and other privileges such as ordering commissary, that make life bearable. On our first day of filming at jail on long island. We met kevin suswell. He wasted little time in showing us he was a very strong man. The newer and more modern of the countys two jails, the large day rooms gave suswell plenty of room for his routine. But in the course of our shoot on long island, suswell was transferred to the countys older, highersecurity riverhead jail. He was now living in considerably tighter quarters. I was
Amends. Ma i believe that ive changed to the good. Be careful. Thats my favorite rapper. Hes da future. And a wouldbe rapper pays the price for attacking an officer. Ay ive learned not to touch the police. They will touch you back. Welcome to wabash. Hope yall could stay longer. With more than 2,000 inmates, the Wabash Valley correctional facility in southwestern indiana has a Larger Population and more acreage than the rest of the small town in which its located. Carlisle is a very small community, approximately 1,200 s is their population. Its comprised of a school. It has a grocery store. It has a gas station, a couple of little restaurants, a dollar store and thats really about all thats in carlisle. While carlisle might be a remnant of a simpler time, inside the twin security fences of wabash is evidence of how some aspects of society have grown harder. Were seeing a lot more offenders coming in much younger than they were before and much more violent than in the past as well. Cor
Very, very bad person. Something was broken. I ended up buying a chain saw, cutting the corpse into about 15 different pieces. One victims mother still lives the nightmare. I go by a dumpster and i wonder if thats where my daughters last resting place is. Publics from death row, another inmate tries to make a difference. At the end of the day, life is about choices. All of this stuff is an illusion. Indianas wabash correctional facility houses inmates doing time for seriously violent crimes. A less isolated and solitary n confineme confinement, the vast majority of inmates live in twoman cells. Avoiding a volatile mix of cellmates is a constant challenge. We try to not put people that are doing life with people going home next year or blacks with whites or White Supremacists with someone who might have a child molestation case just to resolve the conflict before it happens. Even with careful screening, conflicts still arise with cellmates. We just had an assault. Theres a guy in the in
On the bottom of my boot if i were out tending stalls. All of a sudden, they were kicking and kneeing and punching, and pretty brutally at that. Llg he and his cellmate had 22 shanks hidden in their light fixture. I try to make mine at least. 10 inches long, so i have plenta of handle room and plenty of blade. And we turned the cameras over to the inmates so they can record their personal thoughts s in private. Na if you aint strong, man, you going to crumble. Nobody want to die in jail, with their blood and their guts all around their cell. But now im in the state, locking in that tin, waking up at eight, not taking to the weight. If i cant appeal, im going to bring it to these pigs. Grab an ice pick and bring it to their ribs. Leave a scar from their belly to their jib. Some [ bleep ] make it home. Some stay for life. Some [ bleep ] live for peace, and others live for wreck. Look here, blood, you can stay on the humble or you can have a fight to the death. Thats just a couple bars, m
