Santa Maria police make arrest in murder case

A Santa Maria man is in jail on suspicion of murder following a deadly shooting over the weekend.
At about 4:30 p.m. on Saturday, Jan. 2, Santa Maria police responding to a reported shooting in the 900 block of W. El Camino St. found Kevin Alan Najarro, 35, dead of multiple gunshot wounds.
Police say investigators identified Robert Anthony Molina, 35, as the suspect in the shooting and arrested him at an apartment in the 200 block of N. Depot St.
Molina was booked into the Santa Barbara County Jail where he is being held without bail.
