Mountain View Police Department officers helped a distraught man safely descend from the roof of a five-story construction project Wednesday (Dec. 16), preventing injury to himself and to others.
The incident took place at approximately 3:30 p.m. at 2700 W. El Camino Real, located at the intersection of El Camino Real and Del Medio Avenue. That’s the future site of a 211-unit SummerHill Homes apartment complex slated for completion next year.
According to an MVPD press release describing the events, a man hailing from outside the area perched himself on top of a temporary support structure on the roof.
