not just the people of color unable to make it to the ballot box or when they do, their vote is diluted in some way. the harm sometimes is expressive. it s a statement from the state government that we don t care about your voices. and we want to make sure you know that. i see that as part of the point sometimes. and i think that s what s going on in texas. they know this map wouldn t survive a voting rights act challenge, but it s expressing the will of the state that some people belong in the political community and some don t. as you notice, this is not the first time this has happened. this is a long-standing problem in the united states politics. it s the tamarit for me. the people who built this country to say we don t care about your participation in this process. it s exhausting and enraging at the same time. thank you so much michael and doug for joining us for a complicated conversation on gerrymandering. you ll have to come back. up next, some of america s biggest compan
