And as of right now at this moment, eight pm eastern, polls have closed in nearly all counties across that state, other than a few in michigans upper peninsula, which will close in an hour from now. So were going to start getting results coming in, basically any second throughout the next hour. And of course, if we have that, weve got have Steve Kornacki here at the big board, ready to break down the numbers, as we have them in realtime. Along with our team of excellent reporters in michigan, to also give us the latest from there. Both the republican and democratic primaries are going on today, and the contests are interesting for a number of reasons. Not for the usual reason, which is suspense about who will win. Neither race is actually expected to be all that competitive,

want the democrats. it may change in two years or who knows down the road. they re saying we gave the democrats control of the government. all the branches. they came out with a program and we know exactly what was in it and they shoved it down the throat of the congress like with the healthcare, which they passed. without a single republican or obamacare, stimulus, they passed without a single republican. they acted arrogantly and a way they thought they knew the right answers. we reject that and we want to see what the republicans can do to stop the liberal train. jenna: what is your prediction? we heard from john rollston. he thinks that harry reid will keep his spot and many think the state stays democrat. do you have a similar prediction to that? i don t know inside of nevada the way he does. i think harry reid has a good chance to eretain the seat. the way i see it, the republicans will come one seat
like washington state or california, although i think california is the toughest of the close race force the republicans. i have to go but one thing. one more quick thing. the washington state, that s a vote by mail state. if that turns out to be close, we won t know the winner for days. and the news is all about instantaneous results. one thing before i let you go and this is this. sure. you guys are the expert pollsters. to what extent to the tea party voters who are fired up, as one woman put it, you awakened the sleeping giant. first time voters, didn t vote in to 8 they aren t on your radar scale, right? so to what extent could they affect your polls or have you accounted for them somehow? we attempted to include groups like that. we are asking about their interest in the election by measuring other ways of likely turnout.
