Noida: Samosa and tea for Rs 10 each, coffee and cold drink for Rs 15 each, vegetarian thali for Rs 100 and non-vegetarian thali for Rs 180 – are rate.
The cost of the veg thali increased due to a surge of 40 per cent, 36 per cent and 22 per cent on-year in prices of onion, tomato and potato, respectively, due to lower arrivals of onion and potato and low base of last fiscal for tomatoes, Crisil said.
In March, the cost of a vegetarian thali rose by 7% due to surging prices of onions, tomatoes, and potatoes. However, it was cheaper than in February. In contrast, a non-vegetarian thali, mainly dal replaced by chicken, decreased by 7% due to lower broiler prices.
