3225 Fourth Street, Jackson, MI – May 28, 2021 – Ella Sharp Museum’s annual Art, Beer, and Wine festival will take place on Saturday, August 7
th from 1:00 – 7:00 p.m. The Art, Beer, and Wine Festival is presented by County National Bank.
This year’s festival will feature Michigan wineries, breweries, cideries, and artists. The museum will also host food vendors and live music on the grounds and within the courtyard of the museum’s historic Hillside Farm Lane.
The Art, Beer, & Wine festival is Ella Sharp Museum’s largest fundraiser of the year. All proceeds from the festival (including bottled wine and beer sales) benefit museum programming.

Plans are set to begin digging for a new dog park in Jackson.
The city of Jackson is inviting residents and their leashed pets to a groundbreaking celebration at 11:30 a.m. Friday, April 23, at the site of Betty’s Dog Park, located at the corner of N. Blackstone and Van Buren streets.
The board has appointed Valerie Herr as the museum’s interim executive director, officials announced Monday.
Museum officials have formed a hiring committee to find and hire the next executive director, with a focus on effective leadership and bringing forth the museum’s mission, officials said.

The board has appointed Valerie Herr as the museum’s interim executive director, officials announced Monday.

“The Ella Sharp Museum’s place in our community is highly valued and we want to ensure we do our due diligence in hiring the best fit for the ESM,” the museum’s board of directors said in a statement on April 19.
