3225 Fourth Street, Jackson, MI – May 28, 2021 – Ella Sharp Museum’s annual Art, Beer, and Wine festival will take place on Saturday, August 7
th from 1:00 – 7:00 p.m. The Art, Beer, and Wine Festival is presented by County National Bank.
This year’s festival will feature Michigan wineries, breweries, cideries, and artists. The museum will also host food vendors and live music on the grounds and within the courtyard of the museum’s historic Hillside Farm Lane.
The Art, Beer, & Wine festival is Ella Sharp Museum’s largest fundraiser of the year. All proceeds from the festival (including bottled wine and beer sales) benefit museum programming.
Join Ella Sharp Museum and the Dahlem Center for a wonderful night under the stars! Let’s explore and use our night senses. the goal for our night walk led my Dahlem Naturalist Educator, Carrie Benham, is to help people enjoy being outdoors after dark, help them feel safe, and share information about nocturnal animals, the senses they use at night, and how we can better develop our own senses and awareness of the dark. Afterwards, Ella Sharp will be providing guided telescope observing. Telescope observing is dependent on clear skies.

Jackson Ghost Stories
Growing up in Jackson, I heard my fair share of tall tales and ghost stories.
One that sticks out to me is one story of Little Mary who, according to MLive, was a 7-years old when she supposedly died only to be believed to have been buried alive and when they unearthed her grave there were scratch marks on the coffin, confirming that fear. The legend is you can still hear her crying and scratching and some say you can see her floating over her grave.

Beer & Wine Fest on the St. Clair River

Location: Algonac
This outdoor festival at Waterfront Park in Algonac will include beers and wines from more than 40 Michigan breweries and wineries, as well as cocktails and seltzers. There will also be music, games, and food.
