only the past administration could have come up with this. that s where you pay a lot of money for the privilege of not paying in order to have poor health care. other than that it s a wonderful thing. so you pay all this money for the privilege of not having to pay and health care no good to start off with and we are doing great on health care. we are allowing americans to buy better health care for less money through association, including across state lines, you are getting tremendous competition. we passed the biggest va reform in half a century. veterans choice. if our veterans can t get the care they need from the va, they will have the right to go see a private doctor, we will pay for the doctor and frankly we will save a lot of money and we will help a lot of vets.
deivy divisiveness is cause being problems. joining us is james davis, he s a koch network spokesman. james, thanks so much for joining us. thank you. so why is your network raising the alarm right now about the president? well, we ve always had the same vision, how do we remove barriers that are holding people back from achieving their potential. so our engagement in the public policy and political process is just a small part of what this network does overall. it gets obviously a lot of attention. so as we look at the successes we ve had in working with partisan coalitions throughout time, we ve seen some great success. tax reform. we ve seen justices. we ve seen va reform and i could go on and on, but we ve also seen tremendous set back and those set backs are significant. a $1.3 trillion spending bill. then we see families being
the culture, bureaucracy and the nature. it s a huge place and when you talk about the things that would naturally occur in veterans health care, a walk-in clinic, access to health care closer to home, these are things of the va has traditionally thought about in terms of big buildings and big cities. big hospitals in big cities, not necessarily within the best interest of the veteran. in this case, the mission act, the things that is replacing choice, changes how the veteran can access health care not to the number of miles were a number of days it takes to get service. but here is the key, what s in the best interest of the veteran? that should be the standard all along. it s surprising as you look at things in the va that that has not been the case from the very beginning. harris: he obviously had lots of support in the audience, i wonder if there are those who are disappointed that the va reform is in moving faster, though. do you sense that they are? i would think that s the c
