Minimum of Delhi has dropped from 10.2 to 4.7 degree today on January 15. Similar drop of 5 to 6 degree is being witnessed over many parts of Haryana Western parts of Uttar Pradesh and Madhya Pradesh.
Aiming to safeguard the needy and destitute from the spine-chilling cold wave sweeping across the state of Uttar Pradesh, Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath has issued directives asking officers to ensure sufficient supply of blankets.
Talking about cold day conditions as of today. Cities including Agra, Bijnor, Aligarh along with Meerut and Muzaffarnagar have seen the maximums settling at least 6-7 degrees below the normal levels. This means that many regions in Uttar Pradesh have been reeling under severe cold day conditions as minimums are already settling below the 10 degree mark.
Very dense fog has enveloped air strips of Prayagraj, Lucknow and Fursatganj restricting sunshine, thereby plunging the mercury levels. After receiving the wet spell between 05th-09thJan, the complete state has turned dry and cold. These conditions will last for another 3 days till 20thJan and relief thereafter.
