January and February 2022 were rainiest, more so for Bihar and Jharkhand. However, chances are bleak of having any measurable rainfall over the states of Uttar Pradesh, Bihar and Jharkhand during the month of February.
These cold day conditions are expected to continue for at least the next 24 hours as know where the system is likely until then. By tomorrow night, a fresh western disturbance is expected to approach the western Himalayas which may cause some difference in both the maximum and the minimum temperatures.
Light snowfall is going on over upper reaches of Western Himalayas. Another Western disturbance is expected around December 30 and 31st. Moderate snowfall is possible during that time. Temperatures may dip once again on New Year eve.
Temperatures will remain low, and winds will also so be light for at least next 2 days. Therefore, we do not expect any significant relief from poor visibility, dense fog and very poor air quality. Fog will start lifting and get thinner as the day progresses.
All these places had seen high minimums even in the month of December. We can see a marginal drop even further due to the absence of any weather system over the hills is leading to cold winds blowing down the hills over the plains. Clear sky conditions leading to escaping of radiation, due to which temperatures are reducing.
