Atiq s son Asad, aide Ghulam to be buried at Prayagraj mortuary; heavy security in place

The mortal remains of Atiq Ahmed's son Asad, who was killed in an encounter by Uttar Pradesh Police Special Task Force on Thursday, will be buried today. The 19-year-old, along with one of Atiq's noted henchmen, was gunned down in Jhansi after they gave a chase to police for over 45 days. Both deceased carried bounties of Rs 5 lakh on their heads as they were accused in the Umesh Pal murder case. The bodies of Atiq Ahmed's son Asad and his aide Ghulam were taken to a mortuary in Prayagraj from Jhansi by Uttar Pradesh Police. Two ambulances and an Uttar Pradesh police van were headed to the mortuary in Prayagraj on Saturday.

p Police said Amit Mishra, a native of Amethi district, was staying in Haryana s Faridabad. br /p NOIDA: The Uttar Pradesh Police s Special Task Force on Wednesday said it has arrested one more person in connection with the Rs 9.72-crore fraud related to a state animal husbandry department tender. A team of Lucknow STF arrested accused Amit Mishra alias Rinku from the Kalindi Kunj flyover at the Noida-Delhi border on Tuesday evening following a tip-off, it said. Mishra, who carried a reward of Rs 50,000 on his head, is a key aide of main accused Ashish Rai, the agency said in a statement.
