Unnao Survivor s Statement Says She Was Poisoned, No Sexual Assault Attempt: Police
The police have arrested two persons, a minor and a 28-year-old, who allegedly mixed poison in water and offered it to the three minor girls.

New Delhi: The 17-year-old girl who had survived an alleged attempt on her life at a village in Uttar Pradesh’s Unnao district said in her statement recorded before a magistrate on Tuesday that she was poisoned and denied there was any attempt to sexually assault her.

The teenager from Unnao district in Uttar Pradesh, who was among three girls found unconscious in a field on February 17, was taken off ventilator support on Saturday,
The Hindu reported, quoting a statement from the Kanpur hospital treating her.
The girl was “off ventilator and has spontaneous respiration” three days after she was admitted to the hospital at 11 pm on Wednesday, the medical bulletin issued by the Regency Hospital said. She was being treated in the pediatric intensive care unit and was under constant monitoring.
