A 16-year-old girl s body was found last night in a field in Uttar Pradesh s Aligarh district. She had gone missing since yesterday morning and had not returned, the police have said. The incident comes less than two weeks after three girls, all related to each other, were found under similar circumstances in Unnao district on February 17 - two of them died.

The teenager from Unnao district in Uttar Pradesh, who was among three girls found unconscious in a field on February 17, was taken off ventilator support on Saturday,
The Hindu reported, quoting a statement from the Kanpur hospital treating her.
The girl was “off ventilator and has spontaneous respiration” three days after she was admitted to the hospital at 11 pm on Wednesday, the medical bulletin issued by the Regency Hospital said. She was being treated in the pediatric intensive care unit and was under constant monitoring.
The bodies of two teenage Dalit girls who were found dead in Uttar Pradesh’s Unnao were cremated amid heavy security in Asoha on Friday, 19 February. Another 17-year-old girl, who survived the incident, is undergoing treatment at a Kanpur hospital.

Six police teams have been formed to probe the deaths of the two girls under mysterious circumstances in Unnao district on Wednesday, and a breakthrough may be expected soon, officials have informed. While no injury marks have been found on the bodies, ruling out suggestions that their hands were tied up, all angles are being looked into, including possible honour killing, they said.
Unnao case update: Two Dalit girls died in Unnao after they went to the fields to collect fodder while a third girl is battling for life. The three minors were suspected to have been poisoned.
