William Wade Hughes, 57, of Trout Run, died on Feb. 13, 2021 in Virginia.
He was born on June 8, 1963 in Williamsport, the son of William M. and Clarabel V. (Metzger) Hughes.
Wade worked in carpentry with his Dad and brother, farmed, and raised rodeo bulls and beef cattle. He was a professional bull rider belonging to the APRA and IPRA rodeo associations; became a livestock contractor starting his own rodeo company, Crown H. Livestock, and was a founding partner of the United Bull Riders. Wade’s rodeo career took him across the United States, Canada and Puerto Rico, with some of his most notable productions in Atlantic City, and Charleston, S.C. He spent his later years as an independent trucker hauling cattle across the country.
