The groups, in separate interviews with The PUNCH, said the President’s statement was not only an indication that he had failed, but also that he had been overwhelmed by insecurity and other problems in the country.

Bandits abduct village head, two housewives, 14 others in Katsina

Share Barely 72 hours when 80 Islamiyya children were abducted and rescued in Katsina, bandits have again stormed Kaigar Malamai in Danmusa local government area of the state and abducted the village head, his two housewives and 14 people.  The hoodlums stormed the sleepy village on Monday night kidnapped the village head, Kabir Ajiya.  They were also said to have ransacked the entire village and stole so many cows.  A resident Umar Abdulsalam said the villagers had fled the village to surrounding villages and towns.  He said, “On Monday at about 9 pm bandits riding on motorcycles attacked our village. They took away our village head, Malam Kabir Muhammed Ajiya, and his two wives. 

Katsina village head, 16 others kidnapped by suspected bandits

.Gunmen kill seven in Kaduna  fresh attack No fewer than 17 persons, including the village head of Kaigar Malami, were kidnapped  on Monday night  when bandits attacked the village  in the Danmusa Local Government Area of Katsina State. Residents of the community said that the village head, Mallam Kabir Ajiya, and his two sons were among 17 persons kidnapped. It was learnt that the suspected bandits ransacked the village during which they also injured six men and rustled some cows. According to the residents, the  suspected bandits stormed the village at 9pm on Monday. A resident who escaped to the nearby Danmusa town, Umar Abdulsalam, said many residents also escaped to surrounding communities.

Bandits Kidnap Village Head, Wives, Others in Katsina

By Francis Sardauna Bandits on Monday night kidnapped the village Head of Kaigar Malamai, Kabir Muhammed Ajiya, his two wives and 14 other peasant farmers in Danmusa Local Government Area of Katsina state. The bandits were said to have also ransacked the entire village, injuring six other persons and rustled unspecified cows in the village. A survivor of the attack, Umar Abdulsalam, who spoke to THISDAY in a telephone interview on Tuesday, said the villagers had relocated to Dan-Musa town and other nearby villages in the local government. THISDAY reports that bandits had earlier kidnapped 80 pupils of Hizburrahim Islamiyya School in Mahuta village of Dandume Local Government Area of the state but were rescued by a team of security operatives.
