american, paul whelan at. we ll get to those stories in this hour. but we start with a big breakthrough in democrats efforts to pass a main part of president biden s agenda. prescription drug prices, taxes, and climate change. kirsten sinema of arizona has announced her support for the bill, calling it the inflation redact act. clearing the way possibly this weekend. the democrat agreed on some changes. including dropping a carry over interest rate tax. increase on some of the risk just of the rich. hedge fund, and private company executives. and changes to a 15% on corporate tax obligations. they could make amendments, but this film could be seen as historic changes for everyday americans. change is very popular according to a poll, by cutting prescription prices and refusing the deficit by 300 billion dollars. you heard that right. it would also invest in nearly 370 billion dollars to address climate change. and also, it would be interesting to think about it from a politic
planting evidence at mar-a-lago. then, after it was revealed the documents were classified, trump s team said he had taken them home to work on them, falsely claiming that president obama had done the same. then, this third reason why it was okay from trump s team, quote, he had a standing order that documents were moved from the oval office, taken to the residence, were deemed to be declassified the moment he removed them. former national security adviser john bolton told nbc news this. i think that claim is almost certainly a lie. i was never aware of anything even remotely approximaing that policy and haven t heard anything of it since i left. so i think this is made up. and i think a key point here is when somebody is making up stories like that, i think it indicates a level of desperation. as we try to figure out why and how those classified documents ended up at mar-a-lago, nbc news has uncovered new details about the final days of the trump presidency and the last-
election. specifically, they re looking at the state of georgia where he asked raffensperger, we remember, this to quote, find him enough votes to win, and in that now infamous phone call. we will be hearing from raffensperger and his deputy, gabriel sterling, a name we know well as well. focusing on the pressure trump put on the former vice president, mike pence, to not certify the election. now one member of the january 6th committee praised pence this morning for resisting trump s pressure. in a time of the scandalous betrayal of people in office and crimes being committed all over the place. somebody who does their job will stand out as a hero on the day. i think on that day he was a hero for resisting all of the pressure campaigns and the course of efforts to get him to play along with this continuation of the big lie. this big joke that he could somehow call off all the proceedings himself. all the public hearing so far, they ve shown the former president is this re
