A woman fell off the anacostia freeway bridge. Three men rushed to help her, then a witness tells police that he and two other Good Samaritans were assaulted by a man who told them to get away from his girlfriend. The man then allegedly pulled a gun on them, which went off. But fortunately nobody was hit. Police say the man then hit the woman and one of the men with his car. Theyre all expected to be okay. Tensions are growing in Hillsborough County, after a deputy shot and killed an unarmed black man. The shooting took place a week ago . Today. And the clairmel neighborhood has been protesting the death. Almost every night since. A member of the Hillsborough County Sheriff Swat Team shot and killed 22yearold lavonia riggins last tuesday while executing a deputies say riggins reached for his waistband. But was later found to be unarmed. Deputies said riggins was known to have weapons in the past, and he was under investigation for suspected drug dealing. Protestors have been gathering on 78th street for the past week, demanding that deputy face charges. Theyve even started blocking traffic. Several deputies were on hand last night to keep everyone safe. The protestors and the public.
