Nagaland Zoological Park observes World Turtle Day

Dimapur, May 25 (EMN): Nagaland Zoological Park (NZP) and Turtle Survival Alliance India (TSA India) celebrated World Turtle Day while aiming to promote education on turtles at NZP auditorium on May 25. As a part of the celebration, an exposure visit to the zoo’s Asian Giant Tortoise enclosure was held followed by an open quiz. NZP invited 70 students and faculties from four different schools, namely Eden Higher Secondary School, Westside School, Pilgrim Higher Secondary School and Logdrum Higher Secondary School and five people from a nature club named Eco Warriors, Nagaland to participate in the activities. Winners were awarded and all the participants were encouraged with certificates. The programme was inaugurated by Dr. C Zupeni Tsanglai, Director, NZP who addressed the audience on the importance and purpose of World Turtle Day celebration.
