TALLAHASSEE, Fla. - The Florida State volleyball team (18-9, 10-6) showed great resilience in their home finale on Friday night at Tully Gym, pulling out a hard-fought four-set victory (14-25, 25-18, 25-23, 25-18) over the North Carolina Tar Heels (15-12, 7-9). The win marks the Seminoles' 12th victory at home, the most since 2015. The Noles held a slight 10-9 advantage early in the first set but the Tar Heels were able to rattle off 11 consecutive points to take a commanding lead. UNC would go on to take the set 25-14, led by Mabrey Shaffmaster's six kills. Florida State shook off its early struggles and went on a five-point run to take a 5-1 lead to begin the second set. North Carolina battled back to tie things up at 11 but the Noles could not be denied. FSU utilized an 8-1 run to claim a 25-18 victory. TALLAHASSEE, Fla. - The Florida State volleyball team will play one final regular season match inside of Tully Gym on Friday night against North Carolina. First serve is set for 6:30 p.m. There is no broadcast for the match, but fans can follow along via live stats or at FSU Volleyball on Twitter for updates throughout the match. The Seminoles and Tar Heels have already met once this season when the Noles won a five-set thriller in Chapel Hill on Oct. 2. The Noles were down two key players in Audrey Rothman and Ava Pitchford in that match but still found a way to win. Audrey Koenig led the way with 15 kills in the match. October's five-set match is not something new to the series between the Seminoles and the Tar Heels. The last four meetings between the two teams have all gone five sets. In the last 10 meetings, six of the matches have gone five sets with the two teams splitting those six matches with three wins apiece. The Noles are looking to protect Tully Gym once again. FSU
NOTRE DAME, Ind. - The Florida State volleyball team (17-9, 9-6) picked up a big win to continue its path to the NCAA Tournament with a five-set victory (25-18, 16-25. 25-16, 14-25, 15-10) over Notre Dame (9-16, 4-11) Friday night.
The match was back and forth as each team had its runs of dominance throughout the marathon match. The Seminoles came out firing in set one led by four early kills from Khori Louis. The Noles used a 5-1 run to create some separation from the Fighting Irish with a 15-11 lead. The Noles would continue to increase its lead and ultimately scored the final four points to take the first match.
Notre Dame dominated the second set, leading start to finish to tie the match up after a 25-16 victory.
The Noles showed glimpses of dominance once again in set three. With the set tied at eight, the Noles used a 7-1 run to pull away from the Fighting Irish, and they never looked back on their way to a third set victory.

Scouting the Fighting Irish
The Notre Dame Fighting Irish will come into Friday’s match against the Noles with a 9-15 overall record and a 4-10 record in ACC play. The Fighting Irish have lost its last six matches.
When the two teams played on Sept. 23, the Seminoles dominated every aspect of the game on their way to a sweep. The Seminoles held the Fighting Irish to a .000 hitting percentage.
