Field Offices (FO) of the Department of Social Welfare and Development (DSWD) in areas hit by Tropical Depression Vicky continues to coordinate with local government units (LGUs) on the provision of needed relief assistance for affected families.
The Department is committed to provide resource augmentation to affected LGUs and assist them in their disaster response operations.
As of December 20, the DSWD Disaster Response and Management Bureau (DRMB) reported that 8,924 families or 36,030 individuals from Regions VII, VIII, XI, and Caraga have been affected. Of this number, 3,815 families or 15,803 are currently staying in 123 evacuation centers set up by LGUs in the affected regions.

Tropical Cyclone Yasa passed over Vanua Levu Island on 17-18 December and caused heavy rainfall, strong winds and storm surges that triggered floods and landslides. Yasa caused severe damage to infrastructure and four people have reportedly died.
More than 8,000 evacuees are currently hosted in over 170 evacuation centres.
Major roads in Vanua Levu, northern Viti Levu and other islands in the Northern Region have been reportedly flooded and a landslide was reported in Tailevu Province. Damage and needs assessments are ongoing and humanitarian assistance has started to reach affected areas. The Pacific Humanitarian Team and the Red Cross are assessing stockpiles available in country and are working closely together with Government authorities to provide coordinated assistance.

• Beneficiaries of CERF-related activities are being coordinated and validated with LGUs in Albay and Catanduanes.
SITUATION OVERVIEW
At least 30,000 people remain displaced from Typhoons Goni and Vamco and are staying in 181 evacuation centres across Regions NCR, II, III, CALABARZON, and V. Four evacuation centres remain open in Albay.
