Several times throughout the more than 90 Minute Debate in philadelphia, the Vice President Baited Trump on many of the issues she knew would get under her opponents skin. They sparred over the size of his rallies, his electoral defeat in 2020 and the World Leaders who she said were laughing at him. From the opening exchange, it seemed to work. The former president did land some blows, Drawing Attention to biden s record on the economy and immigration and, by association, Kamala Harris role in that. But Snap Polls suggested it was Ms Harris who came out on top. The more important poll, though, the one on election day, remains very much in the balance. Good evening. The us president ial candidates, Kamala Harris and Donald Trump have attended a memorial in New York on the 23rd anniversary of the 9 11 attacks. It was a much more sombre affair after last Nights Head to Head Tv Debate ahead of the election in november. They were insults and a stream of personal attacks, and they sparred on issues including abortion, Foreign Policy and the economy. The last hour or so. We have seen a couple of charity representatives waiting outside, presumably to help the former prisoners as they are released. We have also seen Family Members starting to gather, and friends of those former prisoners, and we have also seen increased security presence. Shortly, we are told, prisoners should be being released in coming through these gates. Last night they had their very last night in jail before being released but there will be lots of Processing Today including talking to Probation Officers about the conditions and restrictions across their release, including bans on certain areas and curfews. There are concerns that many of them will be released homeless. In fact, 12 of prisoners released in the year to march didnt, and therefore there are more concerns about reoffending rates.
