It was so loud. She lives a mile away and was woken up by the crash. I lived here 19 years. I have never seen this. Never before. Never. 6 00 this morning the crane traveling west opt highway swerved to avoid traffic. Lost control and landed in the eastbound lane. Its a miracle nobody got hurt. We were able to get traffic shut down and stopped. Quickly on the eastbound sound. And start moving the vehicles that became stuck in the area here. The crane crash caused another collision moments later between a shuttle bus and pickup truck. The drivers suffered minor injuries. Be patient. We are working as quickly as welcome. This mess started this morning the crane over turned at 6 00 a. M. When the driver lost control. By midday, 237 was closed in both directions and brought in a crane to lift the fallen crane. It happened on eastbound. Near north first street. We are live near the scene. Whats going on . The progress has been slow. But steady. This is the scene mind me. Crews continue to work on removing that crane. Take a good look. First they had to disassemble it. They hauled off the big chunk of it. The clean up is under way. We begin this morning with breaking news. A man found dead from a gunshot wound in his car. It happened just before 4 00 this morning in an alley near carlsbad drive in south san jose. If you know that area, its across the street from pioneer high school. Police were called to a crash involving a car into a pole. Officers tell us they found the man shot and killed inside the car. Police are investigating this as a homicide, but they dont have any persons of interest. The San Jose Police department will brief the media about the latest in the investigation in a few minutes. When they finally got here to the rock ridge station and came down the escalator, we could see they were physically shaken up. Some of them actually in tears. They say that they were just stuck on this train. They smelled smoke. They said it was very stuffy. Finally, things starting to get back to normal here this morning. Still not 100 . Were still seeing delays. Maybe 15 to 30 minutes on the bart trains this morning. The rock bridge station was shut down for nearly an hour after 8 30 this morning. About 600 to 700 people on that train. Heres what we know. About 8 30 bart is saying that a parking brake deployed on a train and caused it to become disabled in the tunnel between orinda and rock ridge on the other side of the hill there.
