Reporter witnesses say the driver of the minivan, 30year old Keith Jeffords tried to run away and was even confrontational until he was eventually arrested. He get out running, running. A girl here and he was fighting everyone. He was in front of me. So, he tried to move out and go in the store. So, he was there running. Reporter now, police say jeffords has been charged with assault, dwi, four counts of assault, rather, dwi and leaving the scene of an accident with serious bodily injury. There were two spas gears in his car. They were taken two passengers in his car. They were taken to Christ Hospital but left without being treated. They refused treatment there. This is really affecting people who are going to Newark Airport, going to catch a flight or pick someone up, leave yourself a lot of extra time or head for routes 1 and 9. You can get off the garden state parkway, take 78 east, get on into Newark Airport that way. Newark airport flights are not affected. New york air train is running without a problem. New jersey turnpike is something to cross off the list. We will take a look at a camera and show you the delay. We will look at another camera this is a webcam. Another camera and show you the delay as you head southbound on the new jersey turnpike. This is right across Newark Airport. So, here you have the inner roadway which is known as the car lanes. You can see traffic is barely moving. Its at a crawl. To the right of that is where the track lanes are. There is no traffic. They diverted everybody into the car lanes. Weve done the tour around from the north, south, east, no matter how you try and get around this new jersey turnpike closure its a nice mate nightmare. That is the southbound delay into interstate 10. What you are finding is all of this traffic is backed up getting right into interchange 10 and this is what the problem really is right here, we can show you with sky rider 7 once you get off the 10 you have an option to take to the northbound side, you can get onto the outer roadway, it is just the inner roadway that is closed down but that is where that inner roadway merges in right here and it is causing nightmare traffic.
