NEW ERA: The club is looking forward to welcoming back fans over the coming months Plans for a revamp of Whitehaven RLFC’s Recreation Ground have been given the go-ahead by the council. With many sports clubs itching to welcome back supporters over the coming months, the vision for transformation of the venue comes at a pivotal time. The plan, which received approval from Copeland Borough Council this month, includes the extension of the existing function room to provide new toilets, a kitchen and a covered link to the existing function room. Chairman Tom Todd spoke of the club’s ambition to increase the amount of ways the facilities could be used by supporters:
