AppHealthCare reported Wednesday that Watauga had 127 active COVID-19 cases, a total of 2937, and there have been 19 deaths in Watauga. Ashe reported 81 active cases, 1412 total cases, with 33 deaths. Alleghany with 56 active cases, a total of 699, with 4 deaths in Alleghany. Across the three county district, there are 542 individuals being actively monitored, and a total of 95 hospitalizations since the pandemic began.
Toe River Health District has resumed weekly reports of COIVD-19 cases in the district. As of Wednesday, Avery reported 95 active cases, a total of 1218, there have been 21 deaths in Avery. In Mitchell, 123 active cases, a total of 987, with 21 deaths in Mitchell. Yancey reported 190 active cases, a total of 1115, there have been 11 deaths in Yancey.
