Two men went out fishing in indian flow near discovery bay. The coast guard says the inflatable raft they were in popped. One of them was able to swim to shore, but the other one didnt make it. First responders searched for hours for efrin cruz, man in his 30s. The rescue effort has now become a recovery effort to find his body. Neighbors say the water seemed calm, and then they noticed h d helicopters overhead. I thought it was perhaps just a Training Mission because i saw them every 30 minutes or so circling back and forth. So it was hard for me to learn that it was somebody in dire need in the river. Late this afternoon the Sheriffs Department described the efforts they have put in but said this man was not located and that the marine patrol unit took over both the investigation and the search.
