It s a Christmastime like no other, with most opportunities to wear a sequin and a sparkle dashed, or destined to take place over Zoom this year.
But there are still plenty of reasons to get dressed with festive spirit, as the Middleton family has proven in the last few weeks.
The Duchess of Cambridge, her mother Carole Middleton, her sister Pippa Matthews and daughter Princess Charlotte have all perhaps unwittingly offered up perfect outfit solutions for the unique events we find ourselves in this year.
Shopping deliveries have been a lifeline for millions of us this year.
Now, with swathes of the country in Tier Four lockdown over Christmas, the pressure on delivery firms and their drivers has never been greater.
This week millions of Britons have braved long queues at their local Post Office to get last-minute presents sent in time for Friday, while online retailers have seen a surge in orders after families in London and the South East were told not to mix over Christmas.

A number of European countries on Sunday began to ban flights from Britain following the emergence of a highly infectious variant of coronavirus.
It has thrown into chaos the Christmas plans of hundreds of thousands of people in Britain and Europe for aiming to spend the holidays with families and friends on either side of the English Channel.
A domino effect of travel restrictions was growing amid rising concern over the mutant strain of COVID-19 that has effectively plunged London and other parts of Britain into the new Tier Four restrictions over Christmas, the London-based Evening Standard newspaper reported.
The Netherlands became the first major European country to announce a ban on flights, followed by neighboring Belgium which also halted Britain-bound trains using the Channel Tunnel. Austria and Italy also followed suit.
