Doha: Qatar Red Crescent Society (QRCS) has launched a QR 60 million fundraising campaign for Palestine. As Phase 2 of QRCS’s emergency response to the clashes in Gaza, Al-Quds, and several cities of the West Bank, it will benefit 593,000 Palestinians.
Over the period 7-21 May, the Palestinian territories saw tragic events suffered by the Palestinian people, with many deaths, injuries, and displaced persons.
Since day 1, QRCS has been taking all emergency humanitarian actions to relieve thousands of affected families, in coordination with Palestine Red Crescent Society (PRCS).

Doha: Chairman of the Board of Directors of the Qatar Red Crescent Society (QRCS) H E Sheikh Abdullah bin Thamer Al Thani expressed his strong condemnation of the continued Israeli attacks on civilians, medical facilities and humanitarian institutions operating in the Gaza Strip, which recently targeted the headquarters of the QRCS in Gaza.
He stressed that these attacks represent a flagrant violation of the international humanitarian law.
He praised the wide international solidarity campaign that stood by the QRCS after it was targeted, whether at the level of governments, national societies, international organizations, media institutions and local bodies or at the public level, which emphasized the importance of providing protection for the humanitarian teams working to help the people of the Gaza Strip.
The State of Qatar, represented by the State Audit Bureau, participated in the annual meeting of the International Organization of Supreme Audit Institutions (INTOSAI) working group on regulating public debt, which was held yesterday via video conference.
