QRCS receives messages of support and solidarity after bombing of headquarters in Gaza

Doha - Chairman of the Board of Directors of the Qatar Red Crescent Society (QRCS) HE Sheikh Abdullah bin Thamer Al-Thani expressed his strong condemnation of the continued Israeli attacks on civilians, medical facilities and humanitarian institutions operating in the Gaza Strip, which recently targeted the headquarters of the QRCS in Gaza, stressing that these attacks represent a flagrant violation of the international humanitarian law.
His Excellency praised the wide international solidarity campaign that stood by the QRCS after it was targeted, whether at the level of governments, national societies, international organizations, media institutions and local bodies or at the public level, which emphasized the importance of providing protection for the humanitarian teams working to help the people of the Gaza Strip.

Doha: The President of Qatar Red Crescent, Sheikh Abdullah bin Thamer Al Thani, confirmed that its relief field teams would continue their humanitarian work in the Gaza Strip. This comes after an Israeli strike on the QRCS office in Gaza, causing deaths and injuries.
On his official Twitter handle, Sheikh Abdullah said, “I would like to express my gratitude to All my colleagues, national societies, heads of #RedCrescent #RedCross, local & International bodies & All individuals who have expressed their solidarity with #QRC after the targeting of its office in #Gaza, wishing safety for everyone.”

INSANIA backs QRCS Ramadan Campaign

The Organization of Islamic Cooperation (OIC) Humanitarian Funds (INSANIA) has announced cooperation with Qatar Red Crescent Society (QRCS), under its Ramadan Campaign 1442 A.H. titled ‘Race to All That Is Good’, by providing humanitarian aid to hundreds of poor families in Qatar.
It is a joint noble humanitarian action by INSANIA and Ajial Qatar, as part of their social initiatives to support QRCS’s social assistance programs for poor families and laborers in Qatar. During the holy month of Ramadan, QRCS’s Volunteering and Local Development Division is distributing food parcels on a daily basis in many parts of the country, while observing all coronavirus preventive measures.
To assist different countries across the globe in their fight against the Covid-19 pandemic, Qatar has so far provided medical and humanitarian assistance to nearly 100 countries since the start of the global outbreak.
