During a surprise ceremony at the credit union’s headquarters, Jeff Williams, Mayor of Arlington, issued a proclamation to celebrate and recognize Minge’s contributions. He declared May 3, 2021, as Jim Minge Recognition Day while Minge’s wife, Pat, and the executive team and board of directors were there to witness the memorable occasion.

It will now be known as the Texas Trust CU Theatre at Grand Prairie, after Texas Trust Credit Union signed a naming rights agreement with AEG Presents, which operates the facility. The name change is effective immediately, with the sponsorship agreement lasting an unspecified number of years. As the venue has touted since its opening in 2002, it is known for being versatile, with a capacity of more than 6,500 people and different configurations allowing it to host concerts, corporate gatherings, and award shows.

Effective immediately, the theatre – operated by AEG Presents and owned by the City of Grand Prairie – will be known as the Texas Trust CU Theatre at Grand Prairie. The multi-year sponsorship, brokered by AEG Global Partnerships, affirms the unique and long-standing bond that Texas Trust shares with Grand Prairie and the surrounding communities. Marquee signage for the newly named Texas Trust CU Theatre will be visible from I-30 to hundreds of thousands of people each week.
