Rockport gets new Center for the Arts after Hurricane Harvey damage

On August 25, 2017, the Rockport Art Association lost the place it has called home since 1984.  Much of Rockport suffered major damage following Hurricane Harvey and the Rockport Center for the Arts was no exception.  After the hurricane, insurance determined the organization s original facility was a total loss as it had lost its roof and suffered many other damages. Nearly four years later, the association has broke ground a brand-new center for the arts in downtown Rockport.  The arts are really important here, RCA executive director Luis Purón said. We plan to be a significant force in the arts with our new space.

The selection includes over 40 different plant species to choose from that will be sure to bring the bees to the yard. The plant sale runs through Monday, April 19. Place orders through the museum store, with pick-up dates for your new friend on April 17 and 19. 

Texas Strong Relief Concert | Dripping Springs, TX

The Texas Strong Relief Concert will be held on Saturday, March 13 from 3 to 10 p.m. at Dreamland in Dripping Springs. GA tickets are $50 and VIP tickets are $200. They're available at dreamlanddstx.com/events/texas-strong-relief/. 100% of the profits from ticket sales and donations will benefit The Texas Farmer Winter Storm Relief fund, created by a coalition of farm organizations from across Texas in response to the crippling winter storm to help provide relief for small and medium-sized farms across the state. Relief concert performances held outdoors on the 64-acre Hill Country property will include headliners Bruce Robison & Kelly Willis, along with Jackie Venson, Ray Prim, Sir Woman, and Rochelle and the Sidewinders.
