Charl Bosch Special Edition is limited to the Europe with mainly cosmetic tweaks
Seemingly not content with market specific special edition versions of the Ranger Raptor, Ford has now introduced a new version for Europe only.
Following in the wheel tracks of the Raptor X launched in Australia last month, the simply titled Ranger Raptor Special Edition is largely a cosmetic overhaul with an undisclosed number set to the produced for markets across the Old Continent.
Changes made compared to the standard Ranger Raptor are obvious.
Externally, Ford has garnished the Raptor with red front tow hooks, matte black racing stripes with red contrasting lines down the bonnet, on the roof, tailgate, loadbox and on the front wings, a matte black finish on the grille, wheel arches, door handles and bumpers, and a choice of only three colours; Frozen White, Conquer Grey and Performance Blue.
This is the new Ford Ranger Raptor special edition. It’s a limited-run version of the pick-up, which features a handful of styling revisions inside and out. Production will be limited to around 700 units for all of Europe, of which roughly 50 will make it to the UK.
Prices are yet to be officially released but, given the nature of the upgrades, we’re expecting a premium of around £1,500 over the standard pick-up, which will push its starting price past the £50,000 mark. First deliveries are expected to arrive in October.
Exterior tweaks over the standard Ranger Raptor include matte black racing stripes, red tow hooks and a matte black finish for the wheel arch extensions, front and rear bumpers, door handles and radiator grille. Buyers also have a choice of three colours, called Performance Blue, Conquer Grey and Frozen White.

It also has grille-mounted LED fog lights that, dear God, are going to give me a mild heart attack whenever I see them in my rear-view mirror, because they look so much like the grille-mounted low-profile LED lights you see in basically every Explorer-based police car. Ford says the Timberline is the seventh new off-roady model the company has introduced since 2019 alongside the two- and four-door Bronco, the Bronco Sport, the new F-150 Raptor, and the Tremor variants of the Ranger, F-150, and Super Duty. But an Explorer Raptor this is not: the Timberline spec brings a 0.8-inch lift with heavy-duty shock absorbers from the Explorer Police Interceptor, 265/65 Bridgestone Dueler all-terrain tires on unique 18-inch wheels, and unique front and rear fascias to add cl
