Ford has officially launched a special edition of its Ranger Raptor bakkie that sports unique aesthetic additions, with a limited amount of units to be built.

Seemingly not content with market specific special edition versions of the Ranger Raptor, Ford has now introduced a new version for Europe only.
Following in the wheel tracks of the Raptor X launched in Australia last month, the simply titled Ranger Raptor Special Edition is largely a cosmetic overhaul with an undisclosed number set to the produced for markets across the Old Continent.
Changes made compared to the standard Ranger Raptor are obvious.
Externally, Ford has garnished the Raptor with red front tow hooks, matte black racing stripes with red contrasting lines down the bonnet, on the roof, tailgate, loadbox and on the front wings, a matte black finish on the grille, wheel arches, door handles and bumpers, and a choice of only three colours; Frozen White, Conquer Grey and Performance Blue.

Ford has shared a new limited-run version of its Ranger Raptor, the ultimate off-roading version of its hugely popular pick-up truck.
Called the Raptor Special Edition, it gets a few interior and exterior styling upgrades to differentiate it from the regular model.
It’s available in Performance Blue, Conquer Grey and Frozen White paint and comes with matte black racing stripes to the bonnet, roof, lower body sides, rearwing and tailgate, edged in red.

Other styling touches include red front tow hooks, and a matte black finish for the flared wheel arches, front and rear bumpers, door handles and grille.

Now the dusty curtain has fallen off, and we find out there’s no Mexican standoff with the new limited series (just to keep the references going for a little while). That’s because the Blue Oval has introduced the new RSE as promised, and the announcement comes with bad news for North American fans of the pickup truck: it’s exclusively made for European buyers.
After a rather short teaser campaign, Ford has just unveiled the 2021 Ranger Raptor Special Edition. A Europe-only model, it comes in limited numbers and features enhanced looks inside and out.
Set to arrive at dealers in October, the pickup truck will be available in Performance Blue, Conquer Grey or Frozen White, with twin matte black racing stripes edged with red contrast lines. The front tow hooks sport a red finish, and the grille, front and rear bumpers, flared wheel arches and door handles have a matte black look.
The cabin of the 2021 Raptor Special Edition has been upholstered in standard high-grain leather with red contrast stitching on the seats, steering wheel, door cards and instrument panel, with the latter getting an exclusive raceway grey styling. The Raptor name is visible on the front seatbacks, and besides this, customers will find the usual amenities present in the regular variants of the sporty truck.
