President Ram Nath Kovind has approved two amendments to extend the tenures of directors of the Central Bureau of Investigation (CBI) and Enforcement Directorate (ED) up to five years.
According to an official order, the government has reappointed Das as the governor of the central bank for a period of three years beyond December 10, 2021.
The government has extended tenure of the Telecom Regulatory Authority of India (TRAI) chairman R S Sharma for two years. His earlier tenure was till Thursday (August 9).
