A short time ago he said that lahaina residents who evacuated and escaped the fires will be able to get back to their homes sometime today, adding there will likely be a curfew. But new images show the destruction to which theyll return some major destinations and landmarks are damaged or destroyed. Driverless cars to San Francisco. And today, the puc agreed with them. The vote is three one. The item passes on thursday. The California Public Utilities Commission passed two resolutions voting 3 to 1 on each to allow more driverless taxi rides in San Francisco. So crews and waymo will now have the ability to expand driverless rides around the city. This is an incremental approval. It builds on existing approvals and its not the last action. The cpuc or the dmv will be taking in regulating these vehicles. Commissioner genevieve koroma was the only person to vote against expanding driverless car rides, citing opposition from First Responders who have expressed safety concerns.
