Private budget schools in Telangana are considering shifting from the state board curriculum to the CBSE due to the increasing demand for CBSE education among parents and students. The schools are planning to switch to the CBSE curriculum from the 2025 academic session. However, acquiring sufficient land, as per CBSE norms, remains a major hurdle for schools.

Ahead of schools reopening in Telangana, private schools and parents management met with Education Minister Sabitha Indra Reddy on Tuesday and raised and registered their concerns regarding vaccination, school fees among others during the meeting.
Representatives of the Hyderabad School Parents Association (HSPA) have requested the Education Minister of the state to ensure that all teaching and non-teaching staff in schools are tested for COVID19 infection before the classes are resumed. The association also raised concerns over school fee regulation.

Hyderabad: The education department has assured the Telangana Recognised School Managements Association (TRSMA) that it will meet some of the demands of budget private schools, association general secretary S. Madhusudhan told Deccan Chronicle on Wednesday.
This comes a day after Deccan Chronicle’s ground report on the disheartening conditions and preparedness of budget schools in face of the possible reopening of classes amidst the pandemic.
